For 19 years now, Women in Film (WIF) has celebrated the Oscars with a pre-ceremony gala highlighting all the women nominated at the prestigious awards. And 2026 was no exception.

Last night, the organization—with support from Max Mara—welcomed over 30 Oscar nominees, inviting each to say a few words on stage and take part in the annual class photo. Actors, producers, songwriters, makeup artists, and more gathered at Los Angeles’s Wheelhouse—the former villa of Oscar-winning actress Bette Davis—for the occasion.

Actress in a Leading Role nominees Kate Hudson (Song Sung Blue) and Renate Reinsve (Sentimental Value) were in attendance, along with Diane Warren (Best Original Song, “Dear Me”), Tig Notaro (Best Documentary Feature, Come See Me in the Good Light), and Alice Felton (Best Production Design, Hamnet). Alicia Silverstone, Jon Batiste, Lisa Ann Walter, Lisa Rinna, and more creatives also showed up to support.

“So many of us have spent a career—or a lifetime—fighting for a seat at a table that was never built with us in mind,” WIF CEO Kirsten Scaffer shared last night. “Tonight, we celebrate. Not because the work is done, but because we refuse to stop.”

Founded in 1973, WIF has built a name fighting for gender equality in Hollywood, working to dismantle gender-based bias, advocating for career-sustaining programs, and promoting representation.

“This year’s Academy Award nominees are a reminder of the talent, creativity, and grit women bring to our industry,” Scaffer continued. “We are beyond proud to uplift this remarkable group not only for excellent storytelling, but also for boldly standing firm in the commitment to underrepresented voices, for advocating for gender equality and for fighting for the heart of democracy—free speech.”
