Universal Pictures announced (via The New York Times) that its upcoming movie slate, which includes The Odyssey, will have extended theatrical windows of at least five weekends in 2026 before expanding to seven weekends in 2027.
The Odyssey is already one of the most anticipated movies of 2026, but Universal‘s course correction will give the Homer adaptation a major box office boost this summer.
Nolan’s upcoming film boasts a star-studded cast that includes Matt Damon, Tom Holland, Anne Hathaway, Robert Pattinson, Lupita Nyong’o, Zendaya, Charlize Theron, Jon Bernthal, and John Leguizamo.
