Ilwaco music was on fire last weekend

Ilwaco music students performed extremely well at the regional solo ensemble competition this past weekend.
Here are the honors conferred on Ocean Beach School District students:
Small Schools
Flute Solo, 3rd place: Keira Watters
Small Woodwind Ensemble, 3rd place: Brent, Kason and Check
Large Woodwind Ensemble, 3rd place: Ilwaco Clarinet Choir
Trumpet Solo, 2nd place: Brenden Davis
French Horn Solo, 2nd place: Brenden Davis
Small Brass Ensemble, 2nd place: Brenden, Caleb, Collin and Sterling
Trombone Solo, 3rd place: Ruary Schimelpfenig
Mallet Solo, 2nd place: Ashton Cherry
Cello Solo, 1st place: Aggie Davidson
Jazz Combo, 1st place: Ilwaco Storage Closet
Broadway Category for Singing, 1st place: Aliyanna Hudson
Broadway Category for Singing, 2nd place: Hayzel Sager
Broadway Category for Singing, 3rd place: Emma Smith

Alto Sax Solo, 1st place (small schools): Juliet Perez (1st alternate to state)

Percussion Small Ensemble, 1st place: Blue Nights Trio of Grover Kilburn, Leland Cunningham and Ashton Cherry (on to state)
Percussion Small Ensemble: Blue Nights Quartet (1st alternate to state)
Percussion Large Ensemble: Blue Nights Quintet (1st alternate to state)
Percussion Large Ensemble: Ilwaco High School Drumline (2nd alternate to state)
Mariachi, 1st place: Olas Altas (on to state)
Guitar Duet, 1st place: Juilet Perez and Seth Denton (on to state)
Harp Solo, 1st place: Aggie Davidson (on to state
Harp Solo, 2nd place: Isaac Menconi 2nd place (state alternate)
State is held at Central Washington University on April 24 and 25.
