Snowmass Tourism has announced the band lineup for its new Mountainside Music Festival, June 11-13, as well as the lineup for the 34th season of the Snowmass Free Concert Series, every Thursday from June 18-Aug. 27.
“Live music has long been part of the culture and energy of summer in Snowmass,” Julia Theisen, tourism director for Snowmass Tourism, said in a press release. “With the launch of the Mountainside Music Festival and the return of the Snowmass Free Concert Series for its 34th season, we’re excited to offer both visitors and locals even more opportunities to gather, celebrate and experience great music in the heart of the village.”
Mountainside Music Festival is a new, free, three-day festival that will kick off the summer music scene in Snowmass Village on Thursday, June 11, and run through Saturday, June 13. It will take place on the Fanny Hill stage.
“The festival is a celebration of Snowmass and its musical legacy,” the press release reads.
Thursday and Saturday offer free glow goodies, and Friday night, immediately following the festival, there will be an 18-minute drone show commemorating the Sesquisemiquincentennial, the 250th anniversary of American independence and the 150th anniversary of Colorado statehood.
“Collect a free Colorado flag from the festival, and watch drones light up the sky,” the release reads.
Guests will also be able to explore a vendor village at the top of Fanny Hill, including with container bars and food trucks from near and far. No dogs and no outside food or drink will be permitted inside the grounds during the festival.
At the Snowmass Free Concert Series, guests are encouraged to bring a picnic order to-go from Snowmass restaurants or support local Snowmass businesses before or after the concert. Alcoholic beverages will be available for purchase from the Snowmass branded container bars, located inside the venue.
No glass bottles, open containers or personal alcohol of any kind are permitted. No dogs are allowed. Outside food, empty reusable water bottles and sealed non-alcoholic beverages are allowed.
On Thursday and Friday evenings, doors open at 5:30 p.m., with an opener at 6 p.m. and headliner at 7:30 p.m. On Saturday, doors open at 4 p.m., with two openers and a headliner.
