The source said he usually let criticism pass, but this accusation hit differently. “This notion that he’s Meghan’s personal poodle has really shaken Harry and stirred up old wounds that really sting,” the insider said. According to the same source, he believed Queen Camilla was “the main troublemaker” and felt she “made life extremely difficult” for the couple when they still lived in England.
However, the strongest public pushback came from the Sussexes’ own camp. As per People’s March 14 report, their spokesperson attacked Tom Bower’s book after The Times serialized excerpts from “Betrayal: Power, Deceit and the Fight for the Future of the Royal Family.” The statement said, “Mr. Bower’s commentary has long crossed the line from criticism into fixation.” It then added, “Those interested in facts will look elsewhere. Still, this was not the first time Prince Harry publicly linked Queen Camilla to older grievances.
