One artist was accused of breaking the rules. Twice. And in Episode 5, the studio finally confronts it head on.

But before any of that — 12 artists face two of the most demanding challenges of the season back to back. First, the Monster Portrait: using Elli Milan’s signature 8-brush-stroke technique, they must block in an entire face from nothing, then subtract their way to something beautiful. Then, with no reference, no subject, and just two hours on the clock, they tackle a non-objective acrylic abstract — what Elli calls the hardest thing to pull off as an artist.

The pressure is mounting. Elimination is close. And not everyone is going to make it through.
