Princess Anne has become the latest royal to be heckled over scandals surrounding her brother Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor. The Princess Royal stepped out in Oxford yesterday to attend the Agricultural Economics Society Centenary Conference at Wadham College, Oxford University, when she was heckled by protestors.
Just seconds after stepping out of the car, Anne was asked: “Anne, how long have you known about Andrew and Epstein.”
Other protestors shouted “what did you know and when did you know it” and “when will you answer the question”.
Anne ignored the shouts and instead made her way into the college, with several bodyguards around her.
He has since been released under investigation.
This statement read: “I have learned with the deepest concern the news about Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor and suspicion of misconduct in public office. What now follows is the full, fair and proper process by which this issue is investigated in the appropriate manner and by the appropriate authorities.
“In this, as I have said before, they have our full and wholehearted support and co-operation. Let me state clearly: the law must take its course. As this process continues, it would not be right for me to comment further on this matter. Meanwhile, my family and I will continue in our duty and service to you all. Charles R.”
