A new music festival is coming to the downtown West Palm Beach waterfront, this one bringing country tunes just before the official start of the sweltering South Florida summer.
Country music superstar Alan Jackson is organizing a new country-themed music festival that will launch in West Palm Beach in June.
Alan Jackson’s 5 O’Clock Somewhere Fest is a two-day event that will feature country stars Ella Langley and Old Dominion. Headliners also include the Coral Reefer Band, the touring and recording band of deceased singer Jimmy Buffet.
Ten musical acts in all are scheduled to play. Jackson, who has announced he will stop performing live this summer, is not listed as a festival performer.
The event’s name is a homage to Buffet’s and Jackson’s 2003 hit “It’s Five O’Clock Somewhere.” The two stars recorded the song’s music video at the Square Grouper bar in Jupiter.
The festival, managed by country music promoter Peach Tree Entertainment, takes place June 12-13 on the downtown waterfront, according to the festival website. The daily schedules have not been announced.
General admission tickets start at $155 for one day and$199 for two days. VIP packages start at $540.
Tickets go on presale 9 a.m. Thursday, March 26 and on regular sale on Friday, March 27.
Since the end of SunFest in 2024, the waterfront has seen several new festivals step into the void. Most prominent was the Palm Tree Music Festival, an electronic dance music show that premiered in February.
