Limitless Mountain Challenge, March 28

Challenge Aspen’s “Limitless Mountain Challenge” runs 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. March 28 at Snowmass Mountain. The all-abilities ski and snowboard event supports adaptive recreation, with a downhill ski and snowboard event bringing together sit-skiers, stand-up skiers and snowboarders to log vertical feet and earn points at on-mountain challenges. Proceeds will support Challenge Aspen’s year-round adaptive recreation programs. Participants of all ages and skill levels are welcome. Costumes are encouraged, with awards and après to follow. Registration and check-in will be at the Snowmass Village Mall, outside the New Belgium Ranger Station. Registration is $25, plus a minimum of $75 fundraising commitment. ‘Pigeons Playing Ping Pong,’ March 29

“Pigeons Playing Ping Pong” will perform at 8 p.m. March 29 at Belly Up Aspen, located at 450 S. Galena St. The Baltimore quartet will feature songs from its eighth studio album, “Feed the Fire,” for a night of psychedelic funk and dance‑ready grooves. Jewel House will open. Aspen Public Radio will present the “7th annual Liar’s Contest” March 30 at the Wheeler Opera House, located at 320 E. Hyman Ave. NPR’s Peter Sagal, host of “Wait Wait …Don’t Tell Me!,” emcees the night as contestants spin tall tales before a panel of judges. The panel includes Steve Child, Chris Wheatley, Former Mayor Torre and Mayor Rachael Richards. The event highlights the work of Roaring Fork Valley’s Spellbinders. ‘Heart and Soul,’ March 31

Aspen Chapel Gallery and Pathfinders will host “Heart and Soul,” a mixed-media show, from 4 to 7 p.m. March 31 at Aspen Chapel Gallery, located at 77 Meadowood Drive. Participating artists are Beidleman, Finn Beidleman, Shawn Benton, Will Bradford, Devon Cardamone, Michele Cardamone, Larry Day, Linda Loeschen, Nicole Popp, Patrick Semple and Robin Van Domelen. 20th annual ‘Fly Fishing Tour,’ March 31

Costa, Yeti and Skwala present the 20th annual “Fly Fishing Tour” at 7 p.m. March 31 at the Wheeler Opera House. The milestone program launches a new slate of fly-fishing films from around the world aimed at both longtime anglers and first-timers. Grammy-nominated duo “Sultan + Shepard” will perform at 9 p.m. April 1 at Belly Up Aspen. The duo is known for dance music blending emotive melodies and club-ready grooves. Goldstar is the opener. The Wood Brothers will perform at 7:30 p.m. April 3 at the Wheeler Opera House, located at 320 E. Hyman Ave. Current members of the Grammy-nominated trio includes Oliver Wood (guitars, lead vocals), Chris Wood (bass, vocals) and Jano Rix (drums, percussion, keyboards, guitar, vocals), along with special guest Margo Cilker. The Wood Brothers have partnered with American Friends of Canadian Conservation, which means that $1 per ticket will support The Nature Trust of British Columbia to protect ecologically-rich wetlands and irreplaceable land from development. ‘Beauty of Water: A Watercolor Exhibition,’ April 3-4

The Art Base and Basalt Regional Library are partnering to present “The Beauty of Water: A Watercolor Exhibition” featuring Sarah Peterson, on view April 3-4 at the Basalt Regional Library, located at 14 Midland Ave. in Basalt. An opening reception with Peterson and her Art Base students will be held from 4 to 6 p.m. April 3. The exhibit is on view through 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. April 4.
