Lo Bosworth wasn’t at the Laguna Beach reunion because she’s riding the wave of motherhood.
The Love Wellness founder, who starred in the teen reality show, revealed why she didn’t attend the much-anticipated cast reunion on Thursday, March 26 — but how she still celebrated at home.
In an Instagram video, Bosworth, 39, said her absence at the party for The Reunion: Laguna Beach (airing April 10) was because she lives in New York City and just gave birth to her baby girl Nelle (her first child with husband Dom Natale). She also said she’s preparing to undergo post-pregnancy surgery in the coming days.
“I have to get some placenta removed next week surgically that was accidentally left behind,” Bosworth explained.
In the caption, Bosworth assured her fans that she still dressed on-theme while commemorating remotely. “I wore my black and white outfit at home yesterday in solidarity,” she wrote.
Last week’s nostalgic get-together saw Laguna Beach alums Lauren Conrad, Kristin Cavallari and Stephen Colletti dressed in coordinating white outfits that seemed a likely nod to the show’s first episode titled “A Black and White Affair.” The episode introduced the love triangle between Colletti, Conrad and Cavallari.

In 2023, Bosworth, who also went on to star in The Hills, admitted to PEOPLE that she “just wasn’t that comfortable being in entertainment,” and that she hasn’t kept in touch with her former castmates, except for Conrad.
“…But everyone else went their own way after the show,” she said. “They were more like my coworkers, not like friends I’d organically had since middle school like Lauren. And I don’t really know anyone who keeps up with their coworkers from 20 years ago. There’s this assumption of, ‘Oh you must stay in touch,’ but I don’t think that’s normal for anyone.”
“I never wanted to really be the one that was the focus of drama, fights dating, mainly because at the time I was just a teenager and uncomfortable with the idea of sharing those things on national television,” she continued. “I was just too shy and too embarrassed. Ultimately, I think it served me really well in that I was never that interested in participating in the way that some of the other cast members were willing to participate.”

Following her TV career, Bosworth settled into her entrepreneurial endeavors, including her 2-year-old Gut Feelings podcast, and, of course, motherhood, a subject she’s been candid about online.
On Monday, March 30, Bosworth detailed her postpartum experience and navigating an “identity shift.” She wrote, “Why is there so much duality with absolutely every little thing when you have a baby? It’s kind of maddening tbh.”
