Hair metal icon, actor and reality TV personality Sebastian Bach, the onetime lead singer for Skid Row, takes the stage Friday at Ferg’s Entertainment Complex, sharing the bill with White Lion and Stitched Up Heart.

Along with a solid handful of gold and platinum albums, with Skid Row, solo and with other players, Bach’s resume includes acting stints on TV’s Gilmore Girls and a national tour of Jesus Christ Superstar. In 2023, he appeared on the performance series The Masked Singer.

Tickets are at this link.

Sunday: The Cream of Clapton Band plays the Capitol Theatre. It’s in no way a tribute act, but more of a “family and friends” situation. The band includes Eric Clapton’s nephew Will Johns on lead guitar; drummer Steve Ferrone, of the latter-day version of Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, who spent six years in Clapton’s touring band; keyboard player Noah East, son of Clapton’s longtime bassist, Nathan East. And Nathan himself, fresh off the latest Clapton tour, will be there on bass. Find tickets here.

On theater stages

The Stephen Sonheim musical Into the Woods, American Stage’s spring production in Demens Landing Park, came roaring (rather like a wolf in Grandma’s clothing) last weekend. The fairy-tale fantasy continues through April 25; click here for showtimes, tickets and other pertinent info. Singer/actress Ryan Joustra, who plays The Witch, is our guest Friday on the Arts Alive! podcast.

It’s the final weekend for Jobsite Theater’s production of The Shark is Broken, a behind-the-scenes looking at the making of Jaws. Show are tonight through Sunday afternoon; see the schedule and find tickets at this link.

Onstage nightly through Sunday’s matinee at Ruth Eckerd Hall: A touring production of the Tony-winning  Moulin Rouge! The Musical. It’s a stage adaptation of the hit 2001 film from Australian director Baz Luhrmann. Find showtimes and tickets here.
