Telangana Congress MLA Anirudh Reddy recently ignited a discussion by proposing that prominent figures such as Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and Balakrishna should be subjected to compulsory drug screenings every three months, especially prior to their film releases. He remarked that voters would likely appreciate a fair and uniform system applicable to both celebrities and elected officials.

He further contended that celebrities like Chiranjeevi, Pawan Kalyan, and Balakrishna wield considerable influence over their fans, often surpassing that of politicians. He encouraged actors to voluntarily participate in such testing, noting that their fans tend to emulate their conduct.
