Marina Bay Sands nightspot Marquee Singapore will mark its seventh anniversary with a two-night event featuring EDM (electronic dance music) heavyweights Alan Walker and Marshmello.

Walker, the Norwegian DJ and producer behind hits such as Faded (2015), Alone (2016) and On My Way (2021), will headline the first night on April 10. Fresh from his Walkerworld 2.0 (2025) album and a successful 2024 to 2025 world tour, he is known for songs that blend atmospheric synths with pop sensibilities.

American DJ Marshmello will take over on April 11. Known for his custom white helmet and high-energy sets, Marshmello is a fixture at major festivals including Tomorrowland, Ultra Music Festival and EDC Las Vegas.

Across both nights, Marquee will also run games for guests, including a 7-Second Hit The Timer challenge, where participants can win complimentary drink vouchers by stopping a timer at exactly seven seconds.

Nearly three decades after they last headlined a concert together, Hong Kong music icons George Lam and Sally Yeh are set to share the stage again.

The husband-and-wife duo will perform at the Singapore Indoor Stadium on April 4 as part of their We Are One tour, which also includes stops in Malaysia and Macau.

Marketed as their first official joint concert in 28 years, the show will feature fresh takes on their best-known songs, including duets and choreographed segments that spotlight their enduring musical chemistry.

Lam, 78, has maintained a steady presence in Singapore, most recently performing in 2024 at Marina Bay Sands’ Sands Grand Ballroom, where Yeh, 64, appeared on stage as a guest. He also marked his 40th anniversary with a concert at The Star Theatre in 2016.

The couple, who married in 1996, are known for Mandarin duets such as Everlasting Love (1995) and My Choice (1983).

A trailblazer of Hong Kong’s music scene, Lam has released more than 40 albums in English, Mandarin and Cantonese, with hits including In The Middle Of The Water (1980) and Nothing’s Gonna Stop Us Now (1987). He has also acted in films such as Boat People (1982), earning a Best Actor nomination at the Hong Kong Film Awards.

Yeh, meanwhile, has built a strong Mandarin catalogue, with hits such as Cool Walk (1991) and The Possibility Of Love (2003).

Scottish noise-pop pioneers The Jesus and Mary Chain are set to return to Singapore, their first gig here in 14 years.

An influential act in the noise-pop and alternative rock genres, the group started out in 1983 before splitting up in 1999. They reunited to perform at American music festival Coachella in 2007 and have since been gigging regularly and releasing new music.

Beyond their albums, their music has also been used to soundtrack movies such as Lost In Translation (2003) and The Crow (1994), and television series The Walking Dead (2010 to 2022).

Their only other performance in Singapore, in 2012, was also at the Esplanade Concert Hall.

The concert is part of the Esplanade’s Mosaic Music Series that highlights genre-defining artistes.
