Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has received his first visitor while in exile, after months of isolation.
Save from his February arrest, the disgraced former prince has been kept isolated at Sandringham since he was booted out of the Royal Lodge by King Charles.
The royal family have largely spent years distancing themselves from Mr Mountbatten-Windsor, who has faced immense public scrutiny over his connection to convicted paedophile Jeffrey Epstein.

Having been abandoned by his ex-wife Sarah Ferguson, who lived with him at the Royal Lodge until they were kicked out, it seemed no royal would be willing to see the ex-prince.
But on Saturday (AEDT time), it was reported that Prince Edward, Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s brother, visited the ex-duke for a “quiet word”.
It’s understood that the purpose of Edward’s visit was to speak to his brother about moving from Wood Farm, his temporary home, to Marsh Farm, his final one.
“Prince Edward was the first and only member of the Royal Family to visit,” a source told The Sun.
“Andrew has been ignored by everyone since he left Royal Lodge, including his daughters and ex-wife who have stayed away.
“Edward has already publicly made his feelings clear when he expressed concern for the victims.
“Edward was meant to be staying at Wood Farm as he regularly books it for Easter, but his brother was there.
“Andrew has been dragging his heels. He could have moved by now, but has been reluctant. Edward has had a quiet word with his brother.”
It has long been understood that Mr Mountbatten-Windsor’s move deadline was the Easter weekend.
His daughters, Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie have remained separated from him, and out of the public eye.
Ms Ferguson has been in hiding since she fled the Royal Lodge under the cover of darkness. It was first thought she fled to the UAE before holing up in the Alps, but commentators now speculate she has been at a wellness retreat in Zurich, Switzerland.
Though Mr Mountbatten-Windsor was released by police after 11 hours of questioning on his 66th birthday, the investigation into his actions remains ongoing.
Police suspect that while he was trade envoy, he handed secret information over to Epstein.
Since prominent Epstein accuser Virginia Giuffre’s posthumous memoir was published in October, outrage at the former prince has only grown.
On October 30, King Charles stripped him of his princely title, and as the US department of justice released the Epstein files over the ensuing months, photos and messages continued to disturb the public.
Mr Mountbatten-Windsor has always maintained his innocence regarding anything to do with Epstein.
