Queen Elizabeth II‘s former dresser is telling all about the royal family.

After becoming close while working with Her Majesty over the years, Angela Kelly got a front-row seat to how she and her loved ones interacted.

“It was just a normal loving family, to be quite honest,” she told Vanity Fair.

“If [Prince Philip], or whoever was cooking, burnt the burgers, she’d just laugh,” Kelly claimed. “As long as they had extra to put back on and as long as all the family was fed and watered, that was all right. The Queen was just full of energy and a really cool granny, to be honest.”

Elizabeth’s pal emphasized how amazing the late leader of England was with her 12 great-grandchildren.

“The family would visit and she loved being granny,” Kelly said. “Her Majesty took her great-grandchildren out riding or walking. She did barbecues and fun things and she always washed the dishes, even when she was entertaining the prime minister.”

Not only was Elizabeth loving with her relatives, but she also loved to let loose and have fun.

“Her Majesty loved singing and had a good voice,” the ex-staffer alleged.

“I didn’t. I’d get carried away and be dancing all around her like I was at a disco, and the Queen would tell me to ‘move over’ because I can’t sing, and we laughed. They were moments to cherish, to see the Queen so relaxed,” she revealed.

While Elizabeth liked to let her hair down and relax with her family, the absence of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle was a sore spot for her.

The couple left their roles as senior members of the royal family in 2020. In the years following, Harry and Meghan publicly spoke out against The Firm.

“The distress the Sussexes caused the Queen in the last years of her life cannot be overestimated,” author Hugo Vickers wrote in his new book, Queen Elizabeth II: A Personal History, via Page Six.
