KDDI to deploy 5G, Starlink and AI services at Japan music festivals

KDDI has announced it will extend its “au Fes Project” to support two major music events in May 2026, Japan Jam 2026 and KCon Japan 2026, providing connectivity and digital services at both festivals. The operator said it will deploy enhanced mobile network capacity to support high user demand at crowded venues, including 5G services and satellite-based connectivity using Starlink.
