April 10 (UPI) — Kerry Condon is joining the cast of the upcoming series adaptation of Liz Moore’s 2024 novel The God of the Woods.
Condon will portray Alice Van Laar, while the previously announced Maya Hawke will play Judy Luptack.
“Hardened by the grief of a past family tragedy and trapped in a contemptuous marriage, Alice Van Laar is forced to face the unimaginable when her 13-year-old daughter goes missing,” an official synopsis reads.

Netflix announced the adaptation in December.
The news followed Peacock’s take on Moore’s 2020 novel Long Bright River, which stars Amanda Seyfried.

Moore will pen the script for God of the Woods alongside Liz Hannah. Together, the pair will also be the series show-runners and executive producers.
“We hope everyone falls in love (and hate) with these characters as much as we have,” they said in a statement at the time.
