WE GOT AN INSIDE LOOK AT THE NEW RIDE. IT IS GOING TO BE A PERFECTLY GRAND REOPENING NIGHT AT THE PHANTOM THEATER. AFTER MORE THAN 20 YEARS, PHANTOM THEATER IS BACK AT KINGS ISLAND, THE OLD FAVORITE RETURNING BUT WITH A NEW TWIST. THE SAME QUIRKY, ORIGINAL CHARACTERS. BUT THE RIDE NOW HAS AN INTERACTIVE PIECE TO IT. Kings Island is ready to open for the season, with new and returning rides, entertainment and more.The amusement parks opens for the 2026 season on April 18.This year will feature the return of the new and improved Phantom Theater: Opening Nightmare.The all-new ride features a nod to its past with performances from Maestro and No Legs Larry. The ride takes visitors through 26 immersive scenes, including backstage areas, haunted hallways, dressing rooms, and a fiery boiler room.Along the way, animatronic characters like Houdelini, The Great Garbanzo, Hilda Bovine, and Lionel Burymore make appearances, joined by a new addition, Arpeggio, Maestro’s feline companion.This season will also feature some signature events like the Food & Wine Festival, Star-Spangled Night, Grand Carnivale and more.Also new this year is a refreshed KI Essentials store, with updated fixtures and layout.At the park’s Soak City Water Park, two of its newest attractions return for another summer: RiverRacers and Splash River Junction.The water park opens May 23.
