Due to their fame, both Khans frequently appear in public with substantial security. Salman is accompanied by his bodyguard Shera, who consistently ensures his safety, while Shah Rukh is currently under the protection of his bodyguard Ravi. Recently, there were claims circulating online suggesting that the bodyguards of these major actors earn between Rs 2-2.5 crore annually, translating to Rs 8-10 lakh monthly for each. However, this information is inaccurate. Shah Rukh Khan’s former bodyguard Yaseen Khan, who has since established his own security firm, dispelled this common misconception regarding bodyguard salaries.

Shah Rukh Khan’s Former Bodyguard Addresses Salary Speculations

In a discussion with Hindi Rush, Shah Rukh Khan’s former bodyguard, Yaseen Khan, stated that none of the bodyguards receive an Rs 8 to 10 lakh salary monthly. He remarked, “I don’t believe they earn that kind of amount annually. If a celebrity compensates them based on personal agreement, that’s a different scenario. But salaries are not that substantial. Who is paying Rs 8–10 lakh per month?”

Yaseen further mentioned that social media often disseminates incorrect information regarding bodyguards’ earnings. He explained that if someone is a bodyguard for a prominent star, they receive a fixed salary. When the star is filming a project, a separate contract is established, and producers compensate the security personnel for that film.

Yaseen also disclosed that bodyguards do not receive payment for being present with stars on set. While the driver, makeup artist, and spot boy are compensated by the producer, bodyguards often do not earn enough to make a living. At that time, he approached producers to advocate for contracts for bodyguards.

During that period, Yaseen Khan spoke with Gauri Khan and informed her that his colleagues were not being compensated during shoots. She was receptive to the idea. Gradually, arrangements began to improve with producers.

Yaseen Khan’s insights have certainly surprised many. Following his comments, it appears that even the bodyguards of high-profile celebrities face their own challenges in the industry.
