An entertainment company with ties to the wildly popular K-pop group BTS will soon launch auditions in Orange County and Los Angeles in search of its “next generation” of K-pop superstars.
RETOPIA SALON, founded by some of the former HYBE executives who supported BTS’ rise to K-pop dominance, announced this week it will host its U.S. global audition tour in Southern California.
The company hopes to discover the final members for its new boy group set to debut in 2027.
Scouts will also be looking for talent “for a future girl group launch.”
Here’s the local audition schedule:
- May 29 at 4 p.m., at BBCat Afterschool in Orange County
- May 30 at 11 a.m., at NK Dance Studio in Los Angeles
- May 30 at 4 p.m., at Eulogia’s Studio in Los Angeles
- May 30 at 6 p.m., at STAGE X STUDIO in Orange County
Auditions are open to applicants born between 2008 and 2014, regardless of gender and nationality, RETOPIA SALON said.
Participants can apply in one category — either vocal, rap, dance, or acting.
The company is also hosting global auditions across 18 cities in countries including Japan, Indonesia, Thailand, Australia, and Canada.
