We’re in for a vibrant spring-summer season if our favorite stylish stars have anything to say about it. Earlier this week, Jennifer Lawrence embraced icy blue with a pair of ostrich-leather flats from Khaite, while Carey Mulligan stepped out in a head-to-toe tangerine look pulled from Colleen Allen’s Fall/Winter 2025 ready-to-wear collection. And now, Katie Holmes is jumping on the colorful train.
Yesterday, the Dawson’s Creek alum looked like a breath of fresh air as she emerged for a breezy day in New York City while in a two-tone maxi skirt. Featuring a stretchy waist band, the piece, from Rosie Assoulin, is a bright sky blue up top, and a fresh watermelon red at the bottom. The maxi is sold out on the brand’s site, but is on sale just about everywhere else. Goop warns that it “may cause twirling.”
An expert at keeping things easy, chic, and minimalist with her style, the actor paired the statement skirt with a classic white T-shirt and black leather loafers with golden hardware. (Holmes is a sucker for a good flat, after all, she recently told Harper’s Bazaar, noting that her post-pandemic shoe wardrobe consists of “a low heel, a flat, or a sneaker—maybe a sandal, if I remember to get a pedicure.”)
An A.P.C. Poppy Cabas Bag in black leather was slung over her shoulder, and she accessorized with rose-tinted sunglasses and a black cord necklace with a string of white pearls, which she wore like a choker. (In case you hadn’t heard, cord necklaces are back. Shop the best ones, picked just for you by Bazaar editors, here.)
