This included charitable, philanthropic and business engagements and while it appeared that the couple seemed to receive a warm welcome throughout the tour, a damning new poll has revealed what Australians really thought of Harry and Meghan’s trip. The poll was carried out by Roy Morgan – Australia’s oldest and best-known independent polling and market research company founded in 1941 – and interviewed a representative cross-section of 1,767 Australians aged 18 and over about Harry and Meghan’s visit.

However, this did not mean everyone was happy about it. The poll also showed that of those Australians who knew about the visit, 81 percent did not find that it improved their opinion of the couple.

On the other hand, 19 percent said it had. 87 percent of people asked about the trip also said “no” when questioned on whether they thought the Australia visit would help Harry repair his relationship with the King.

In a personal blow to Meghan, the poll also found that 75 percent of people surveyed said that the tour had not shown them a more positive side to the duchess.

It is not known why a majority of those asked felt that way.

It also seems that Australians are more sympathetic towards the working members of the Royal Family, with 69 percent of people answering no when asked whether Harry and Meghan had been treated unfairly by the Royal Family.

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, who had previously last visited Australia in 2018, did not bring their children Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet with them on the tour.

It seems that they were missed by their children while they were away, with Meghan sharing on Instagram that they were welcomed back with a sweet banner by the front door.
