Love Island faces another significant change as two familiar faces step away from the spin-off programme.

Indiyah Polack and Amy Hart have announced they are leaving their roles as hosts of the Love Island podcast and will no longer feature on the spin-off show, Aftersun.

The duo, who both gained recognition through the ITV2 reality show, shared the news via Instagram on Monday (April 20), confirming their exit from Love Island: The Morning After.

New presenters will take the reins when the upcoming series of Love Island launches this summer, reports the Mirror.

In a joint statement, they said: “After three incredible years of gossip, girly chats and love, we wanted to share that we’re stepping away from Love Island: The Morning After and Aftersun. With millions of views, juicy live streams and even a nomination for best video podcast, we are truly leaving on a high and with a friend for life in each other!!”

They went on to say: “The podcast has been such a huge part of our lives and we’re super proud of what we’ve built. ‘So many laughs, some unforgettable memories and none of it would’ve been possible without you guys, however now feels like the right time to pass it on and let someone else take on the best job in the world.

“We’ll always be part of the Love Island family, and we can’t wait to see how the podcast continues to grow and evolve. Meeting the islanders, diving into every twist and turn, and our annual trips to the villa have been nothing short of unforgettable.”

Concluding their message, the duo expressed: “THANK YOU to everyone who tuned in and chose to spend your mornings with us, your support has meant everything! And finally to the teams at ITV and Lifted who make this show possible, you’re the best! ‘Love, Amy and Indiyah xxxx.”

Fans and celebrity friends flooded the comments section with messages of encouragement for the presenters.

Former Love Island contestant Alex Bowen remarked: “Thanks for the love and the laughs girls.” Ella Thomas praised them, saying: “Killed it girls.” Mariam Musa added: “Excited for what’s next.”

One supporter expressed their disappointment while looking ahead: “So sad to see the vibes go, but can’t wait to see what’s next in store.” Another reflected: “Won’t be the same without you both. Your hard work, commitment and love you both put into the podcast really came through each episode.”

A follower commented: “It won’t be the same without you two but so excited to see what you both get up to next.” Someone else chimed in: “A stunning chapter. So so proud of you both. The best memories! Here’s to new beginnings.”

Indiyah, 27, featured in the 2022 series, where she formed a connection with Dami Hope. Although they remained together following the programme’s conclusion, the couple parted ways earlier this year after being together for three years.

Amy, 33, who appeared on the fifth series of the ITV2 reality show back in 2019, left the villa without a love match. However, she has since found happiness, having tied the knot with Sam Rason, and the pair welcomed their second son, Dexter, in March.
