Beatrice & Eugenie Reportedly Uninvited from Another Royal Event Weeks After William Allegedly Snubbed Them from Easter

Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie are in a complicated spot these days. They have not been accused of any misconduct themselves, but their father Andrew, was arrested for suspicion of misconduct in public office, and their mother, Fergie, has been linked to convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein. So, as the British royal family tries to put some distance between them and the scandal, the two are caught in the middle.

And reportedly, the desire to keep the scandal at bay has even seen them excluded from the celebrations for Queen Elizabeth’s 100th birthday. Royal expert Richard Fitzwilliams told the Daily Mail that all the events surrounding the birthday are thought to be official engagements, which will only include working royals.

“Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie are being snubbed as attention on this anniversary must be on one person,” he said.

When Prince Philip’s 100th birthday was celebrated, all his grandchildren, even non-working royals, took part in a documentary honoring the late Duke of Edinburgh. Things are different now.

“Ideally, especially since several of them have played a significant part in royal life and since Queen Elizabeth took her role as Supreme Governor of the Church of England so much to heart, this anniversary would have been commemorated by either a service or by a function which included her grandchildren and great grandchildren,” Fitzwilliams said.

However, Andrew remains a problem. “An invitation could certainly not have been extended to Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, who was recently arrested and who has disgraced the royal family.” And that applies to his daughters, too. “His daughters Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie did not attend the service at Easter with the royal family and have become controversial, especially owing to their parents’ links to the deceased pedophile Jeffrey Epstein, so they could not be asked either.”

The easiest way to frame this was not to include non-working royals.

All of this comes a few weeks after Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie skipped the royal family’s Easter service. At the time, palace aides called it a “personal decision,” but Rob Shuter reported that wasn’t exactly the case.

“This wasn’t optional,” one royal source told the gossip columnist. “It was decided for them.” And the decision was reportedly made by Prince William.

“William is tightening the circle,” the insider said. “And this is what that looks like.”

It’s unlikely to change in the near future. “He’s thinking about the future, not feelings,” the source explained, “It’s about protecting the brand.”

Previous reports from the Daily Mail indicated Andrew’s daughters will also miss the Royal Ascot. Speaking with the outlet, a source said, “I’ve spoken to my friend who works at Ascot, and they said the girls have been told they can’t be there this year.” And the two are reportedly very upset about it. “Beatrice has taken it the hardest. She’s been completely blindsided by all of this,” the insider added.
