Anne Hathaway attended The Devil Wears Prada 2 premiere in London on April 22
She wore a Versace gown paired with a statement-making ponytail for the glamorous night
The actress, who was named PEOPLE’s 2026 World’s Most Beautiful cover star, recently attended the N.Y.C. premiere in Louis Vuitton
Anne Hathaway and her ponytail are bringing the action.
After attending the New York City premiere for The Devil Wears Prada 2, the actress, 43, alongside her castmates Meryl Streep, Emily Blunt and Stanley Tucci flew to London for another glamorous evening celebrating the movie, which comes out May 1.
For her part, Hathaway — who was announced as PEOPLE’s 2026 World’s Most Beautiful cover star this month — made jaws drop in a sultry navy Versace gown complete with a velvet V-silhouette skirt embellished with a slit and a strapless sheer bodice in the style of a glittery tuxedo.

To accent the skin-baring design, the Oscar winner brought to life what has to be her boldest hairstyle seen on the press tour to date — a lifted power ponytail with impressive definition. Hathaway’s tied-up tresses could be seen from all angles as she posed on the carpet with her costars and designer Donatella Versace.
While her most daring hair look thus far, this updo wouldn’t be the only major moment Hathaway has had this year. A close runner-up is her modernized bangs, which she brought back earlier this month.
In the Big Apple, the star, who reprises her role as Andy Sachs, took everyone’s breath away in a sculptural red Louis Vuitton gown designed with a corset bodice and an exaggerated skirt that showed off her coordinating heels.
The Devil Wears Prada 2 comes 20 years after the original film’s release. Speaking with PEOPLE at the April 22 premiere overseas, she reflected on the ways the growth in her personal life mirrors that of her character’s. “I think we’re both more confident,” she said. “I think that 20 years ago Andy Sachs was really worried about getting it right and she really wanted to please her boss,” she added, then, “I think that she wants to be herself. And I relate to that.”

Now, 20 years later, Hathaway is ready to embrace what the future brings. “You have to be more serious about how you take care of yourself. I just think that when you’re in your 40s, you’ve had the opportunity to see how certain decisions bore fruit over time. And so you can assess if you want to continue making those decisions or if you want to make new ones,” she said in her PEOPLE cover story.

And while her red carpet style game has been on fire, Hathaway admitted that being a boy mom to her two sons Jonathan and Jack, whom she shares with husband Adam Shulman, has “really informed” her fashion choices.
“I have to always be able to go from a serious business meeting to, like, a basketball court,” the actress said. “You have to be able to play pickup basketball at any point, in any outfit. So [I tell myself]: When you get dressed in the morning, dress wisely because you 100 percent are going to have a projectile thrown at you probably by the end of breakfast.”
