Ella Langley is facing accusations of supporting MAGA following several recent developments.
While the 26-year-old country singer has never publicly discussed her political beliefs or backed any political candidate, observers point to certain actions as evidence of alignment with President Donald Trump. Critics have highlighted her scheduled performance at Kid Rock’s Rock the Country music festival.
Kid Rock, 55, is a well-known Trump supporter. She recently revealed her collaboration with Morgan Wallen on I Can’t Love You Anymore, set for release on Friday. Wallen has similarly remained silent regarding his political leanings and has not publicly supported any political candidate. Nevertheless, the country star has faced similar MAGA allegations.
His 2021 incident, where he was caught using a racial slur toward his white friend following an evening of drinking, has reinforced speculation about him being MAGA-aligned, reports the Mirror US.
Social media users recently noticed that Langley was following The Charlie Kirk Show on TikTok.
Charlie, who was murdered last year, was a polarizing figure. The right-wing political commentator was known for his debating style, in which he would invite students to challenge his stances.
Charlie was also known for his bigoted views. Among his statements were: “If I see a Black pilot, I’m going to be like, boy, I hope he’s qualified,” and “The great replacement strategy, which is well underway every single day in our southern border, is a strategy to replace white rural America with something different.”
Additional remarks included: “Reject feminism. Submit to your husband, Taylor [Swift]. You’re not in charge,” and “We’ve been warning about the rise of Islam on the show, to a great amount of backlash. We don’t care; that’s what we do here. And we said that Islam is not compatible with Western civilization.”
Charlie was a prominent Trump supporter and considered an ally of the 79-year-old. The admiration was reciprocated, as Trump personally announced the internet personality’s death. The president has described Charlie as his “friend” and stated that he was “loved and admired” by him.
Charlie was fatally shot at Utah Valley University on September 10 during an event he was hosting with his organization, Turning Point USA. Tyler Robinson has been accused of killing Charlie and faces charges of aggravated murder, felony use of a firearm, obstruction of justice, and witness tampering.
The suspected shooter has not yet entered a plea to the charges. A trial date has not been set. Prosecutors have indicated they intend to seek the death penalty.
