Anne Hathaway turned heads at the Mother Mary London premiere!
The actress, 43, turned stepped out in a sexy, sheer black dress on Thursday, April 23. The choker-esque frayed gown featured long flared sleeves and was designed in a stylish, raven black chiffon material.
Hathaway decided to let her outfit take center stage and donned minimal jewelry — a pair of simple gold hoop earrings. The Les Misérables star wore her brunette locks in an elegant half-up, half-down ponytail.

The maxi gown is from Iris van Herpen’s Spring/Summer 2020 couture collection and certainly matches the gothic aesthetic of her new movie, in which she plays Mother Mary, a singer who reunites with her estranged best friend and former costume designer.
Thursday evening’s striking ensemble is a far cry from the lighter, more elegant looks Hathaway has sported for The Devil Wears Prada 2 premieres.
In London, she wore a stunning navy-blue velvet gown from Atelier Versace, whereas in the Big Apple, she sported a sculptural ruby red Louis Vuitton gown designed with a corset bodice and an exaggerated skirt that showed off her coordinating heels.
It has certainly been a busy year for the mom of two, as she is due to star in a whopping five films this year — The Odyssey, Flowervale Street, Verity, Mother Mary and The Devil Wears Prada 2.
In her role as Mother Mary, Hathaway will perform original songs written by FKA Twigs, Jack Antonoff and Charli XCX.

In a recent New York Times profile, the Oscar winner spoke about the struggles of learning how to sing using a microphone.
“To my horror and dismay, I realized I had no idea how to sing into a microphone because all of my training was onstage, where there’s so much projection involved,” said the actress, adding with a laugh, “Pop music is the opposite. It’s effortless power, which is not really my thing. I’m, like, all about effort.”
Hathaway, who is a mom to two sons, Jonathan Rosebanks Shulman, 10, and Jack Shulman, 6, said the experience taught her that she much prefers playing to her strengths, which is acting.
“I was like, wow, I am so not a pop star,” she quipped.
