SINCE 2000 release official music video for new single ‘𝗡𝗼𝘀𝗳𝗲𝗿𝗮𝘁ũ’
New EP, ‘𝙣𝙚𝙫𝙚𝙧𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 [𝘾𝙃𝘼𝙋𝙏𝙀𝙍 𝙄𝙄]’, out today on Easy Life Records
Glasgow pop metallers Since 2000 have today released their new EP ‘neverland [CHAPTER II]’ via Easy Life Records. Alongside the release, the band have unveiled the official music video for new single ‘Nosferatũ’, one of the EP’s most ambitious and emotionally charged moments.
Speaking on the new single ‘Nosferatũ’, vocalist Dan Romano shares, “This is collectively one of our favourite songs from the EP. We wanted to write a big, anthemic and emotional pop song without re-treading any ground we’d covered on ‘chapter I’.
Romano continues: “The message of this song is about having to kill off a part of yourself in order to grow and move on to a better place. It’s a break up song, but the person you’re breaking up with is you.”
‘neverland [CHAPTER II]’ is the second and final instalment in the neverland series from Since 2000, completing the coming of age narrative first introduced in ‘neverland, chapter I’. Where the first chapter explored uncertainty and emergence, this closing release confronts the darker realities of growth head on, loss of innocence, unresolved trauma and the difficult act of reckoning with the shadow self. Described by the band as their darkest, heaviest and most impactful body of work so far, the EP marks a decisive evolution both sonically and thematically. Released via Easy Life Records, it captures a band pushing beyond earlier boundaries without abandoning the emotional core that defined them.
Across the record, Since 2000 reframe memory as narrative, folding fragments of their past into a more expansive and self aware present. Musically they lean further into intensity, balancing weight and atmosphere with anthemic melody, allowing moments of volatility and restraint to coexist. The result is a body of work that feels deliberate and cohesive, driven as much by emotional urgency as by technical ambition.
Lyrically the EP moves between internal confrontation and wider observation, examining guilt, addiction and identity alongside the systems that shape and distort belief. While deeply personal at its core, the narrative expands outward, acknowledging the social environments that influence isolation and vulnerability. Rather than offering resolution, the record sits inside discomfort, recognising growth as a process that is rarely clean or linear.
As a complete work, ‘neverland [CHAPTER II]’ functions as both ending and renewal. Although it closes the first chapter of Since 2000, it signals an exciting new path for a band coming into their own. Rather than settling into reflection, the EP transforms turmoil into momentum, proving that healing is uneasy, evolution is necessary and the future is being shaped in real time.
