Things to do in Pensacola: Crawfish Festival; Interstate Mullet Toss

Seven days out is your guide to entertainment events, concerts, festivals and activities in Escambia and Santa Rosa counties.

MONDAY

Panchiko

6 p.m., doors; 7 p.m., show; April 20. Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S. Palafox St. Panchiko is beginning to settle into rockstar life. It’s different from how the UK band imagined it when they were teens, crafting ethereal, at times cosmic bits of heart-forward rock music to little outside interest, playing shows to nearly empty rooms. But that all changed in 2016 when an internet user discovered Panchiko’s discarded 2000 demo CD, D>E>A>T>H>M>E>T>A>L, in a Nottingham charity shop and posted it to 4chan to intrigue and fanfare. Monday Night Blues

7 p.m. April 20. Seville Quarter, 130 E. Government St. Seville Quarter and the Blues Society of Northwest Florida are bringing the “blues” back to the Seville Quarter Entertainment District. TUESDAY

Bands on the Beach

7 p.m. April 21. Gulfside Pavilion at Casino Beach, Pensacola Beach. Bands on the Beach is Pensacola Beach’s popular outdoor summer concert series with performers for every musical taste. Featuring a lineup of regional artists, the series delivers an eclectic musical experience throughout the entire summer. This week features Smoke Stak. WEDNESDAY

Mullet Swing Golf Tournament

11 a.m. April 22. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. The 28th annual Mullet Swing Golf Classic is a four-person scramble. The maximum handicap per player is 30. A package of two mulligans and two red tee busters is $25. These cannot be used for hole-in-one prizes. There is a limit of one package per player. The Mullet Swing serves as a fundraiser for the Multiple Sclerosis Society. $900 per team. More info: 850-492-0611 or florabama.com.

Draw Together Drawing Club

5 p.m. April 22. The Handlebar, 319 N. Tarragona St. Draw Together Drawing Club is a free event open to all ages and skill levels. Supplies will be provided. More info: thehandlebar850.com.

Sesame Street Live: Elmo’s Got the Moves

6 p.m. April 22. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. Elmo’s Got the Moves is an all-new Sesame Street Live production bringing the magic, music, and joyful energy of Sesame Street to stages across the U.S. and Canada. Designed to get kids and families moving, this interactive live show invites audiences to sing, dance, and play along with Elmo, Abby Cadabby, Cookie Monster, and more of their favorite furry friends. Guests can also enhance their visit with the exclusive Photo Experience, giving families the chance to capture a keepsake moment with select Sesame Street characters. Tickets start at $40. Improvable Cause Presents “Cheese for the Table”

7 p.m. April 22. The Handlebar, 319 N. Tarragona St. Enjoy an hour of improv where everything connects. Your suggestion becomes scenes, characters, and stories that weave together into something we didn’t see coming either. Each show is completely unique. More info: thehandlebar850.com.

THURSDAY

Ghosts Among the Pines

6 p.m. April 23. The Handlebar, 319 N. Tarragona St. Ghosts Among the Pines will perform live in concert with Mara Nagra, CACA DEL DIABLO, and ihatesundays. More info: thehandlebar850.com.

St. Christopher’s Concerts

6 p.m. April 23. St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 3200 N. 12th Ave. Christopher’s Concerts is an annual concert series bringing live music to the community in a fun, family-friendly atmosphere. The series features a diverse lineup of talented bands performing a variety of musical styles. Attendees may bring their own food and beverage and food will be available for purchase on site. FRIDAY

Interstate Mullet Toss & Greatest Beach Party

10 a.m. April 24 through 26. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. The Interstate Mullet Toss & Gulf Coast’s Greatest Beach Party started as just a reason to party and has become one of the biggest beach parties on the coast. Those who participate in the Mullet Toss will throw a dead mullet over the state line of Florida and Alabama to see who gets the farthest. People travel from across the globe to see what all the fuss is about here at the Flora-Bama. $10 a day for ages 21 and older; $20 for ages 18 to 20; free for ages 17 and younger. The event is for all ages until 6 p.m., at which point it becomes for ages 21 and older. More info: 850-492-0611 or florabama.com.

Pensacola Crawfish Festival

11 a.m. April 24, 10 a.m. April 25 and 11 a.m. April 26. Seville Square & Fountain Park, downtown Pensacola. The Pensacola Crawfish Festival features thousands of pounds of boiled crawfish, fresh from Louisiana, brought to attendees by Pensacola locals, Cordova Crawfish Company. Cajun fare features include boudin, jambalaya, etouffee, fresh and fried seafood, and gumbo. Traditional festival options and desserts are also available. Live entertainment will be provided all three days. Adults: $5 per day. Kids aged 6 to 12: $2 per day. Kids 5 and younger: Free. More info: fiestapensacola.org/crawfish-festival.

Miss Flora-Bama Bikini & Hot Body Contest

Noon April 24 and 25. Flora-Bama Lounge & Package, 17401 Perdido Key Drive. The world-famous beach bar hosts several bikini contests every year around the time of the Mullet Toss, Memorial Day, Fourth of July and the finale on Labor Day. On each of those holidays, ladies can compete to become a top finalist. The top three winners are then eligible to compete in the Labor Day Bikini Contest finale for a chance to win a $5,000 grand prize. More info: 850-492-0611 or florabama.com.

Spring Big Book Sale

3 p.m. April 24 and 9 a.m. April 25 and 26. Downtown Library, 239 N. Spring St. It is time to stock up for your summer reading as the Friends of the West Florida Public Library host their 2026 Spring Big Book Sale. The sale is for readers of all ages and offers books in all genres. Sale inventory will include books, audio books, CDs, and DVDs. Friday admission: $5. Friends’ members: free. The Sugar Witch

7:30 p.m. Thursday through Saturday and 2:30 p.m. Sunday, April 24 through May 3. Pensacola Little Theatre, 400 S. Jefferson St. In the moss-draped swamps of the Florida panhandle, magic, mystery, and family curses simmer beneath the surface in The Sugar Witch by Nathan Sanders. Young Annabelle is the last of the Nettles family — haunted by a dark legacy and watched over by the enigmatic Sugar Witch, a woman with ties to ancient folk magic. As love, death, and secrets converge on the Nettles’s property, old wounds are reopened, and fates entwined in this Southern Gothic tale rich with atmosphere, heartache, and haunting beauty. $25. ALT! The Party            

8 p.m. April 24. Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S. Palafox St. Your friends at The Emo Night Tour have decided now more than ever we need a party that’s just over the top ridiculous fun and have worked tirelessly to create and perfect “ALT.” A night of nu metal, alternative rock, grunge and anything else you screamed along to in your car when you were growing up all the way to this day. SATURDAY

Dinner Detective Murder Mystery Dinner Show

6 p.m. April 25. Hilton Garden Inn Pensacola Downtown, 8 S. Ninth Ave. America’s largest interactive comedy murder mystery dinner theatre show is now playing. Solve a mystery while feasting on dinner. Just beware, the culprit is hiding in plain sight somewhere in the room, and you may find yourself as a prime suspect before you know it. This event differs from a traditional murder mystery dinner show. The actors are not dressed in costume and are hidden in the audience. Ani DiFranco w/ Special Guest Sweet Petunia

7 p.m., doors; 8 p.m., show; April 25. Vinyl Music Hall, 2 S. Palafox St. Widely considered a feminist icon, Grammy winner Ani DiFranco is the mother of the DIY movement, being one of the first artists to create her own record label, Righteous Babe Records, in 1990. She has released 23 albums traversing folk, punk, hip-hop, soul and electronic genres and addressing a range of autobiographical, political and social issues. Pensacola Symphony Orchestra’s 100th Anniversary Gala Concert

7:30 p.m. April 25. Saenger Theatre, 118 S. Palafox St. The culmination of the Pensacola Symphony Orchestra’s 100th anniversary season, featuring Antonín Dvorak’s New World Symphony, a special commission by composer Jim Stephenson, and performances by the Pensacola Children’s Chorus and the newly established Pensacola Symphony Youth Orchestra. House of Androgyny Open Stage Drag Show
