A jeweler believes that One Direction star Harry Styles chose a perfect yet pricy engagement ring for his reported fiancée, Zoë Kravitz, after eight months of dating
Zoë Kravitz’s engagement ring “sits comfortably within her usual style” and therefore holds a personal touch, despite its possible whopping price tag, a jewelry expert says.
Zoë is reportedly engaged to One Direction star Harry Styles after eight months of dating. The couple has begun sharing the happy news with “a small circle” of their loved ones after first igniting engagement rumors on April 21, when Zoë showed off a diamond ring while sharing a kiss with Harry in London, England.
Now, after taking a closer look at Zoë’s ring, jeweler Nilesh Rakholia, Founder of Abelini, believes that Styles has chosen a perfect engagement ring for his reported fiancée and soon-to-be wife. It fits her personality without compromising its lavish price. This comes as insiders say Zoë described Harry as being her “soulmate.”

Rakholia said, “With the engagement now confirmed, the ring feels very much in line with Zoë Kravitz’s jewellery identity. From what we can see, it looks to feature an elongated center diamond, most likely a cushion cut, set low into a bezel-style mounting. It’s a sizeable stone, probably in the 5 to 7-carat range, but it doesn’t read in the way you’d expect for something of that scale.”
Rakholia also noted that pieces like this typically fall in the £800,000 to £1.5 million ($1 million to $1.9 million) range, depending on the diamond’s exact quality. “It’s a significant stone, but the way it’s been set changes how that value is expressed,” he said.
“The key detail is how it’s set,” he continued. “Rather than lifting the diamond up to catch as much light as possible, it’s held close to the finger within a smooth metal frame. That changes the whole feel of it. It comes across more contained, more wearable, and far less about display.”
Rakholia said this shift in setting subtly changes how the ring is perceived. “There’s also a slight tilt to the stone, which adds to that effect,” he noted. “With bezel-set designs, especially with elongated diamonds, you often get a bit of natural movement depending on how the hand sits. It softens the overall look and makes the ring feel less fixed, less formal.
“Rings at this level are usually designed to be seen immediately. They sit high, they’re very light-driven, and they signal a moment quite clearly. This feels more considered than that. It’s still a statement, but it doesn’t rely on the usual cues.”
The expert added that Zoë has “always been very intentional with jewelry. Even when she wears something bold, it never feels out of place or overworked.” So, there’s “a sense” that Styles chose the ring “to fit into her life, rather than sit apart from it. This ring follows that same thinking.”
Rakholia continued to compare the ring to the actress’s past engagement rings. He said, “Her earlier choices moved between two very different directions. With Karl Glusman, it was an antique rose-cut diamond with a softer, more romantic feel. With Channing Tatum, the ring shifted into something more contemporary, an elongated cushion-cut diamond by Jessica McCormack, with a sculptural, low-profile setting.
“What’s interesting here is that this ring sits somewhere between the two. It has the scale and presence of her more recent ring, but the setting brings in something slightly more grounded, almost with a sense of history to it.”
The designer of Zoë’s latest engagement ring hasn’t been confirmed, but Rakholia noted that the design language “offers some clear direction.”
“Zoë is known to wear a lot of Lorraine Schwartz, particularly for red carpet moments, but this ring feels much closer to a London design sensibility,” he explained. “It aligns with the kind of work we’ve seen from Jessica McCormack, who designed her previous engagement ring and is known for pieces that sit close to the hand and feel part of the wearer, rather than placed on top.
“Given that connection, and Harry’s ties to the U.K., it wouldn’t be surprising if a London-based designer, or at least a similar design approach, has been revisited. That said, without confirmation, it remains an informed read rather than a certainty.”
Rakholia concluded that the way Zoë introduced her ring to the public is just as telling as the design itself. “What’s notable is how naturally it’s been worn,” he said. “We know the engagement itself was kept relatively intimate, and that carries through here. The ring hasn’t been presented as a moment in itself; it’s simply part of her day-to-day. It sits comfortably within her usual style, which makes it feel far more personal.”
The expert finished by saying, “That speaks to a wider shift in how engagement jewelry is being worn and seen. It’s less about a single, highly staged reveal, and more about how the piece lives with the person over time.”
While no further details of the couple’s proposal have been released, a source told Page Six that the 37-year-old actress is head-over-heels for the singer and that their relationship “feels different” than any of her past relationships. The insider claimed that Zoë described Harry as being her “soulmate.”
