Wild & Scenic Film Festival On Tour Hosted by Mountain Area Preservation – 5:30-8:30 p.m., Alibi Ale Works – Truckee Public House, 10069 Bridge St. Join Mountain Area Preservation (MAP) for the 10th Annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival – On Tour, coming to Truckee, CA, for two nights in May. Get wild with MAP and award-winning, inspiring films on May 1st and May 2nd at two different locations, with two dynamic events for 2026!  Mark your calendars for both nights – Friday, May 1st, from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m., night one, hosted at Alibi Aleworks – Truckee Public House located in Historic Downtown Truckee, and Saturday, May 2nd, from 5:30 to 8:30 pm, hosted at Tahoe Donner Adventure Center. Between Monday, April 27th and Friday, May 1st, bring your adoptable rooted plants to the Grass Valley Library during regular open hours. Upon drop-off, we’ll give you a plant care card to fill out so the next gardener can keep it healthy and happy – and so that we can care for it during the week! Every plant you bring earns a ticket to be redeemed on Saturday, May 2nd between 9am and 2pm. BanjerDan (Dan Mazer) is a “banjo-centric” acoustic musician and entertainer based in Santa Cruz County, CA. His music is an Americana mix, rooted in straight-ahead bluegrass and branching out to include folk, country, blues, oldies, and other styles. Dan’s primary instrument is the 5-string banjo, but he also plays guitar, mandolin, and dobro. He has performed all over the U.S. and internationally, as a solo artist, in theatrical productions and symphony orchestras, and as a member of several bands, most notably “J.B. Beverley & The Wayward Drifters.” He has performed in venues ranging from street corner busking to bar/coffeehouse gigs, children’s shows, private parties and corporate events. Some of the more notable venues include Opryland, USA, the Grey Fox Bluegrass Festival, the High Sierra Music Festival, the National Cherry Blossom Festival, and the Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts.
