A joint Olsen sighting is about as common as finding a Margaux bag in a vintage market, but we were treated to a rare gift yesterday afternoon when Mary-Kate and Ashley Olsen were seen grabbing lunch with a friend while out in New York City.
Transitional weather is a place where the Olsens thrive, and yesterday, their street-style alchemy was on full display as they coordinated in layered, neutral-toned ensembles with matching alligator-leather bags in tow, seemingly both from their own brand, the Row.
Each opted for inky outerwear, with Mary-Kate choosing a cozy long trench, while Ashley selected a cropped overcoat. The twinning vibes continued as they both also slipped into dark-wash jeans and black slipper flats, while carrying their respective black-leather bags.
For Mary-Kate, she turned to her beloved Lady Bag, while Ashley appeared to have the Agnes Bag on her arm, adorned with a Saint Christopher medal from Lisa Eisner jewelry, which hung from one of the top handles.
For a bit of variation between their looks, MK completed her fit with a cream scarf and rectangular sunglasses, while her sister wrapped up in an obsidian scarf with vintage-inspired round shades.
Into their adulthood, the Olsens have shied away from the spotlight, leaning more quietly into their roles as designers at the Row, which has earned them praise from within the fashion community (just last year, they were awarded the American Accessory Designer of the Year Award at the 2025 CFDA Awards).
But even when they’re off duty, they can’t help but be effortlessly chic.
