There are folks on stage making us feel and connect with one another; and then there are the many people behind the concert stage who are helping to make it all happen. Convincing big acts to come to Montreal ,and getting Montrealers to show up, has been Leisa Lee’s work as a publicist for four decades. She talks about how promotions and booking has changed; how they planned the tours for Blue Rodeo and The Backstreet Boys, and how creating Osheaga’s ‘Artist’s World’ was a gamechanger for the music festival. And Leisa pays homage to one of the G.O.A.T.s in the biz: the late Donald K Tarlton of Donald K. Donald Productions, where she got her start in the late 1980’s.
