A royal author has defended his claim that Sarah Ferguson previously “had a sexual relationship” with the now disgraced rapper Sean “Diddy” Combs. Andrew Lownie, the author of Entitled, which came out last August and examines the lives of Sarah Ferguson and Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, has expanded on the allegations in a newly updated edition of his book. An extract of the book was published by the Daily Mail ahead of the publication of the updated paperback edition – Entitled: The Rise and Fall of the House of York – on May 21.
The book quotes an associate of the rapper, previously known as P Diddy, who alleged they maintained a sexualised relationship spanning several years. It was claimed that they met at a party in 2002 organised by Ghislaine Maxwell and that their sexual relationship started in 2004.
As claimed by Andrew Lownie in The Daily Mail, the rapper was “obsessed” with the Royal Family, with a former employee at P Diddy’s Bad Boy Records claiming that the singer would brag about having sex with Ferguson.
According to the source, Combs allegedly once said “he could not wait until Fergie’s daughters come of age.”
Last year, Combs was found guilty on two counts of transportation for prostitution and sentenced to four years in prison.
It is suggested that the duchess and rapper met several times in Europe and Africa, with one source saying: “They’d meet in luxurious hotels… They once stayed at a seven-star hotel that was over £50,000 a night. They spared no expense.”
A source close to Ferguson has since strongly denied the new claims. They said: “This is absolute fabricated nonsense, blatantly untrue, and yet another false allegation from him [Lownie].”
Speaking to The Sunday Times, Lownie has defended his claim, stating that his evidence came from several people and that he had no doubts about his sources.
He told the newspaper: “I stand by it, it’s fully sourced with former employees of P Diddy and Sarah Ferguson.”
The author added that Ferguson had previously lied about breaking contact with the late convicted sex offender Jeffrey Epstein in 2011.
Lownie also said Ferguson introduced her two daughters to Combs multiple times, including during a 2006 yacht weekend when Princess Eugenie was 16.
Lownie has written several other books on the British Royal Family, which include Traitor King: The Scandalous Exile of the Duke and Duchess of Windsor and The Mountbattens: Their Lives and Loves.
