General Hospitalstar Cameron Mathison (Drew) and his estranged wife Vanessa are moving closer to divorce. The two filed a joint petition last week in court for legal separation, two years after they announced they were splitting up and issued a joint statement.
TMZ is reporting the actor and Vanessa are looking to legally separate and not divorce as of yet; they will be doing the filing together, which suggests they will plan, or have already worked out, the division of assets, spousal support and attorney fees.

The couple met in New York in 1998 and got married four years later. They have two children: Lucas, 24, and Leila, 19.
