Where to watch Sunday Night Baseball between the Tigers and Royals
Detroit Tigers injury updates: A.J. Hinch on Javier Báez, Casey Mize
Detroit Tigers manager A.J. Hinch talks to reporters about injuries to Casey Mize and Javier Báez on April 29, 2026, at Truist Park in Atlanta.
The Detroit Tigers will try to end a five-game skid against the Kansas City Royals in a national broadcast on “Sunday Night Baseball.”
But, hey: No pressure.
The Tigers were swept by Boston this week at Comerica Park, and have dropped the first two games of their road series against the American League Central-rival Royals, 4-3 (in a bullpen bust), and 5-1.
And now it’s right-handed reliever Brenan Hanifee’s turn to stop the bleeding, as the Tigers turn to yet another edition of “pitching chaos,” with only Jack Flaherty, Keider Montero and Framber Valdez (suspended) healthy in the rotation.
Here’s everything you need to know for today’s Tigers game against the Royals at Kauffman Stadium in Kansas City, Missouri.
