A couple of years after the complaint was initially filed, NFL wide receiver Tyreek Hill settled with social media influencer Sophie Hall, who alleged that he broke her leg after he allegedly “charged” her.
The Miami Herald reports that Hill agreed to settle with Hall for an undisclosed amount, and Hall will drop the claims of assault and battery.
Hall took the stand after her opening statements on Thursday, May 7. The trial was supposed to continue, but will no longer do so after the settlement.
Sophie Hall’s allegations against Tyreek Hill
In her complaint, Hall alleged that Hill “charged” her while they were doing football drills in his backyard at his Southwest Ranches estate in 2023.
Hall allegedly “hit the floor and felt pain” upon impact. Hill’s attorney argued that since Hall came to visit him, she “assumed any risk.” The attorney also alleged that Hall stayed over for a few days and had intimate relations with Hill.
Currently, Hill is a free agent wide receiver. This ended his four-year tenure with the Miami Dolphins. He was released in February 2026 after tearing his ACL in 2025.
Before he was traded to the Dolphins, Hill was a standout receiver for the Kansas City Chiefs. He won a Super Bowl with them and was a three-time First-team All-Pro. Hill made the Pro Bowl every year from 2016 to 2023 as well.
Hill further broke out when Patrick Mahomes became the Chiefs’ starting quarterback. During Mahomes’ first season under center, Hill caught 87 passes for 1,479 yards and 12 touchdowns.
It’s unknown what his next steps will be. Hill has only played for two NFL teams, and he is coming off a major knee injury. While he will be ready to go in 2026, it remains to be seen if he will be signed by anyone.
