Fox News viewers have been left confused after noticing that Sean Hannity looks completely different in his coverage of President Donald Trump’s tour of China.
It comes as the network will present two interviews with President Trump from Beijing on Thursday, May 14th, and Friday, May 15th, following the US-China summit.
Hannity will be one of the anchors conducting the first interview with the president following his meeting with Chinese President Xi Jinping, which will air during Hannity on Thursday, May 14, from 9-10pm ET.
Chief political anchor Bret Baier will also get the president’s reaction to the summit in an interview set to air on Friday, May 15, during Special Report, which will run for an hour from 6pm to 7PM ET.
However, in the lead-up to the two big interviews, Hannity has still been appearing on the network, keeping viewers up to date on the latest, which has led them to spot something odd.
In clips where Hannity was anchoring from the Fox News studio in New York, his skin looked noticeably smoother, and his under-eyes also looked brighter and more awake.
However, when it came to snippits from him appearing on TV in China, his skin appeared to have more wrinkles, and he looked tired.
While this could be due to different lighting in the studio or makeup techniques, or even the drastic 12-hour time difference between the States and Beijing, fans showed no sympathy.
A comparrison of Hannity in the studio compared to him in China was shared on X, where fans wrote things like, “Whoa. Makeup doing some heavy lifting for him.”
A second person joked, “Wow, that trip to China aged him 10 years,” prompting someone else to add, “Oh lordy – please get that man some filters!”
While a fourth user asked, “Did he age 15 years in the last three nights?” and another slammed, “Check out these comments @seanhannity did DJT do your makeup over there? You look like s–t.”
Others, however, were quick to defend Hannity, with one user arguing, “What happened to ‘body positivity’? Hannity, with one user arguing, “What happened to ‘body positivity’? At least the man gets in front of cameras unlike you keyboard cowards.”
Trump has headed to China to discuss the current tense trade relationship between the two superpowers. Trump said he would ask Xi to “open up” China’s economy to major tech companies.
He added that he also expected a “long talk” about Iran, though he insisted he did not need China’s help to end the conflict. He said Xi had been “relatively good” on Iran, adding that it would be an “exciting trip” and “a lot of good things are going to happen”.
