Nancy Sinatra is remembering her legendary father, Frank Sinatra, with an emotional tribute nearly three decades after his death.

The “These Boots Are Made for Walkin’” singer, 85, took to Instagram on Wednesday, May 14, to reflect on the 28th anniversary of the music icon‘s passing and the lasting impact he had on both his family and generations of fans.

“Twenty-eight years ago, the world lost Frank Sinatra, and I lost my dad,” Nancy wrote. “I don’t think I’ll ever fully get over the loss of him.”

The daughter of Ol’ Blue Eyes, who died in 1998 at age 82, described the Grammy winner as “one of the most extraordinary men” she ever knew.

Nancy also praised the “My Way” singer’s enduring musical legacy, saying he would be thrilled to know his music remains wildly popular today.
