The pop superstar, 36, stepped out for a wedding dripping in recognizable jewels once owned by one of her latest album’s muses, Elizabeth Taylor, while heading to Honey’s cocktail bar with her fiancé, Travis Kelce, in Williamsburg, Brooklyn, on Saturday, May 16.
The Kansas City Chiefs star, also 36, is believed to have purchased the sparkling suite from the late Hollywood icon that was worn by Swift, who matched it with a gold Maria Lucia Hohan Allar silk dress in shimmering fabric with a cut-out waist for the elegant evening.

Swift’s jewelry, which also paired well with her matching gold Aquazzura Ari clutch and Aquazzura Tequila sandals in rose gold for $1,635, included matching chandelier earrings, ring and bracelet all crafted from black opals and natural Australian crystal designed by Darlene De Sedle in 1999.
Taylor’s opal jewelry was later sold as part of Christie’s 2011 Collection of Elizabeth Taylor auction, and then sold for a second time by Fox Estate Jewelry via 1stDibs in late 2025. The sale happened “during Christmas time,” said jewelry dealer Adam Fox in an Instagram video.
“On the majority of these online platforms, for higher-ticket items, somebody will reach out, ask questions. Sometimes they will try to negotiate, sometimes they won’t. This just randomly sold,” he explained in the clip.
Fox had an idea who might have purchased the set after he saw the “Elizabeth Taylor” singer wearing the jewels, telling Page Six that it was bought by a sports agent at the time, making him assume it was a gift from Kelce to Swift.

“I’m just glad it went to somebody that actually appreciates it. I know Taylor Swift has a song about Elizabeth Taylor, and it all makes sense. It seems like it was bought with a lot of purpose; there was obviously a lot of thought put into this one,” he told the outlet.
“And coming from somebody like Elizabeth Taylor and going to somebody who, among today’s generation, is just as recognizable as Taylor was back then? I think that’s very cool,” the jewelry dealer told the outlet.

Swift dedicates one of her songs off her latest album, The Life of Showgirl, to the late Hollywood movie star. The hit, “Elizabeth Taylor,” is the second track on the record with a corresponding music video that includes clips from the actress’ life and movies.
In the Grammy winner’s profile for The New York Times Magazine, she gave insight into the making of the song and revealed how Kelce, who she’s set to soon wed, played a part in the creation of the catchy track.

“I’m riding in the car with Travis,” she said. “I go on and on in explaining to Travis, like, why I love Elizabeth Taylor so much. She fought for artists’ rights. She was exploited in so many ways, and yet she kept her humanity. She kept her humor. She kept her passion for life.’ I was just going on.”
“I was like, ‘Her eyes were violet. Some people said they were blue. Some people said they were violet. I think they were violet.’ We get home. He gets out of the car and I’m just in my head just this intrusive melody…. And I’m just scrambling to open my record app on my phone,” she continued.
During her album promotion, the pop star shared that she’d reached out to Taylor’s estate to get permission to release the song, which features multiple lyrical references to the actress. Swift called the estate “lovely” during an interview on the Scott Mills on Radio 2’s Breakfast Show.
Taylor’s son Christopher Wilding spoke with PEOPLE exclusively about the song, saying he listened to it “the day it became available.”
“She and my mom do seem like kindred spirits. They are both the very embodiment of female empowerment,” he shared. “The way [Swift] has deftly captured the similarities and parallel tracks in their careers and personal lives is delightful.”
