The King and Queen have arrived at the RHS Chelsea Flower Show to view the stunning displays on offer at the annual garden showcase. It’s one of the most star-studded events of the year, with celebrities donning their best frocks to tour the stunning floral displays exhibited in the scenic grounds of London’s Royal Hospital Chelsea.
Charles and Camilla arrived at the event on Monday evening, and were joined by the Duke and Duchess of Edinburgh, the Princess Royal and the Duke and Duchess of Gloucester, who toured the gardens and the displays separately. It comes after a whole host of well-known faces arrived at the show earlier in the day.
The royal party toured the exhibits, including the RHS and The King’s Foundation Curious Garden, designed to encourage the nation to discover the joy of curiosity in gardening. The garden is the mastermind of BBC Gardeners’ World presenter Frances Tophill and a special King’s Foundation team, which included the monarch, Sir David Beckham and Alan Titchmarsh.
The garden features a beautiful oak building representing a ‘museum of curiosities’; seven raised plant beds as a nod to Sir David’s iconic shirt number; one of the King’s favourite flowers, delphiniums, and an Artist’s Easel created by The King’s Foundation’s Snowdon School of Furniture.
