Snooki ‘overwhelmed with love’ following cancer diagnosis
The former “Jersey Shore” star announced on TikTok on Friday that she had been diagnosed with stage one cervical cancer.

Nicole “Snooki” Polizzi says no stone was left unturned during a past appearance on “The Wendy Williams Show,” including an on-air attempt to test a pregnancy rumor.
Speaking on the May 19 episode of “Off the Vine with Kaitlyn Bristowe” podcast, the “Jersey Shore” star recalled Williams bringing out alcohol and pressuring her to prove she wasn’t “secretly pregnant.”
“She heard there was a rumor that I was pregnant,” Polizzi said. “She brought out beer for me and Jenni [Lynn Farley], and she goes, ‘Well, let’s see if you’re pregnant.’ Like, so crazy.”
Polizzi picked up the drink and pretended to take a swig, noting that she “didn’t even take a sip of it.”
Polizzi and her husband, Jionni LaValle, share three children: Lorenzo, 13; Giovanna, 11; and Angelo, 6, according to People and E! News.
Alongside Polizzi on the podcast, her friend Joey Camasta added that she later “shunned” Williams during a chance encounter at Target weeks after the appearance.
Polizzi also described Williams’ “intimidating” on-air persona. The reality star said the host previously called her out for “acting different” while she was trying to change her public image.
“I tried to be more ‘classier,’ and it just wasn’t working,” Polizzi said. “I was like talking proper, and she was like, ‘You’re acting different.’”
“That was not me. Never again,” she added, saying she later realized personal growth “takes time.”
Her podcast appearance comes days after Polizzi shared a personal health update. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight that aired May 14, she said she had been diagnosed with cervical cancer in February and would undergo a hysterectomy as part of her treatment.
“I’m terrified,” she said. “But I feel like once that happens, then I just have to keep an eye on it and I’ll be OK.”
Williams, now 61, was diagnosed in 2023 with primary progressive aphasia (PPA) and frontotemporal dementia (FTD), progressive neurological disorders that affect communication, behavior and personality according to prior USA TODAY reporting and information from Penn State Health and Mayo Clinic
USA TODAY contacted the office of Williams’ court-appointed legal guardian and her representatives for comment on May 20.
