Hilary Duff sparkled in a silver gown at the 2026 AMAs
The appearance marked the singer’s first at the event in 21 years
Duff is serving as a presenter at the award show
Hilary Duff is back at the American Music Awards!
On Monday, May 25, the singer and actress, 38, arrived at the 52nd AMAs wearing a metallic silver gown with a v-neckline and sleek silhouette. She added matching silver pumps and kept the rest of her accessories minimal.
Her blonde hair was styled in a bouncy blowout and her makeup was soft and natural.
Duff is set to present at the award show alongside stars such as Alysa Liu, John Legend, Lisa Rinna, Megan Stalter, Nikki Glaser and Paula Abdul.
Performers include Teddy Swims, Twenty One Pilots, Hootie & the Blowfish, Maluma, Riley Green, Sombr and KATSEYE, Teyana Taylor, Billy Idol, New Kids on the Block, Karol G. The Pussycat Dolls and Busta Rhymes will also take the stage and are expected to perform their hit “Don’t Cha.”
Queen Latifah serves as this year’s host, returning more than three decades after she co-hosted the event in 1995. She also performed at the 2008 AMAs alongside Alicia Keys and opera singer Kathleen Battle, singing “Superwoman.”

Duff’s appearance also marks a significant return to the AMAs. The “Come Clean” singer last attended the event 21 years ago in 2005.

The Disney Channel alum recently made her Sports Illustrated Swimsuit debut as a 2026 cover star, donning a plunging one-piece swimsuit.

Duff made her SI Swimsuit debut alongside Olandria Carthen and Gabi Moura. They were joined by Christen Goff, Katie Austin, Jena Sims, Jasmine Sanders and Ellie Thumann in the class of stars who were photographed by Katherin Goguen on the Gulf Coast beaches. Duff’s fellow cover stars include Alix Earle, Tiffany Haddish and Nicole Williams English, who all got their own covers.

In February, Duff released her first album in over 10 years, luck…or something.
She also embarked on her Small Rooms, Big Nerves music outing in January, marking her first time touring in more than a decade.
The 52 American Music Awards, hosted by Queen Latifah, are airing live on CBS and streaming on Paramount+ Premium from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas.
