The annual Greater Baton Rouge State Fair will return Oct. 22 through Nov. 1 for 11 days of family fun and entertainment at Airline Highway Park and Fairgrounds, 16072 Airline Highway in St. George.
The Greater Baton Rouge State Fair got its start in 1965 and is the region’s only large-scale, multi-day community event that generates benefits for local charities, with almost $5 million going back to the community since 1987.
Highlights for the 2027 state fair include the following:
- World-class stuntwoman and “human cannonball” Tina Miser returns to the fair for daily shows.
- The Lego Competition for children ages 7-13
- High School Volunteer Awards ceremony to honor rising high school seniors from 62 high schools in the region
- Livestock shows
- Petting zoo
- Racing pigs
- Popular attractions Washboard Willy, magician Tim Spinosa, clowns and character artist entertainment
- A food court with local and traditional fair food options
- The largest midway in south Louisiana, with rides and attractions for all ages
