BTS won the Song of the Summer award with “Swim” at the American Music Awards (AMAs) on Monday.

The megaband was nominated in two other categories this year: Best Male K-pop Artist and the flagship Artist of the Year award.

A win for Artist of the Year would mark BTS’s second grand prize at the AMAs. BTS became the first Asian act to receive the top award in 2021. That year, it also won Favorite Duo or Group and Favorite Pop Song with its megahit “Butter.”

Earlier in the day, “Golden” (2025) by fictional girl group HUNTR/X from “KPop Demon Hunters” (2025) won Song of the Year.
