Even though Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie have nothing to do with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s scandal, Prince William is reportedly making sure they are punished for it.
The sisters will not be allowed to attend their first cousin Peter Phillips’ wedding on June 6, even though they RSVP’d that they would be in attendance, per The Royalist Substack. In addition, Beatrice and Eugenie are excluded from Royal Ascot in mid-June because there is a new round of investigations into their father for his “alleged inappropriate behavior at Ascot” in 2002, per The Sunday Times.

The Royalist Substack is calling the latest incident a “grim” victory for Prince William because he blames King Charles for “showing solidarity” with Eugenie and Beatrice as Andrew’s ties to Jeffrey Epstein became more complex and dragged their mother, Sarah Ferguson, into the scandal. The Prince of Wales’ decision to exclude them from the family wedding and Royal Ascot now leaves his cousins humiliated “all over again.”
Prince William
William was allegedly upset at his dad for letting Beatrice and Eugenie participate in the Christmas walk at Sandringham in December 2025. Rob Shuter’s Naughty But Nice Substack claimed that the men were “at war” over the decision because it created more “exposure” for the royal family when it came to Epstein.
“Charles doesn’t like being told what not to do,” a source told Shuter. “This quickly became about authority. He made the call even knowing William objected.”
The Prince of Wales has always taken issue with King Charles’ “weak” stance on Andrew, and it’s caused problems between the father and son.
“William always said, ‘Just cut Andrew off completely. It’s not appropriate to have an alleged sex offender breaking bread with the royal family.’ Charles was so desperate to be seen as embodying the spirit of Christian forgiveness that he let Andrew back in,” a source told the Daily Beast in September 2025.
With both Andrew and Ferguson exiled from the royal family, the only people left to punish are Princess Beatrice and Princess Eugenie. And it’s clear from William’s latest moves that he intends to keep them far away from the palace.
