For decades, the Ojude Oba Festival has been much more than a colourful cultural gathering in Ijebuland.

It has grown into one of Nigeria’s biggest showcases of fashion, culture, and tradition, with celebrities often seizing the moment to make memorable style statements.

The 2026 edition was no exception. From embroidered agbadas to igeles, to shades, to carefully curated accessories, several notable personalities stood out with looks that celebrated the beauty and elegance of Yoruba heritage.

Here are eight celebrities who caught attention with their fashion choices at Ojude Oba 2026.

Rotimi Salami

Actor Rotimi Salami arrived at Ojude Oba 2026 looking every bit the Yoruba prince in a simple way.

He wore a blue regal agbada that combined traditional craftsmanship with modern tailoring. The Nollywood star exuded confidence and sophistication.

The fabric, intricate embroidery, with a brown shoulder fur and carefully chosen accessories, came together seamlessly, creating a look that felt both elegant and authentic.

He completed the look with a matching traditional cap (Fìlà) and royal neck beads. What stood out most was its understated nature. Rather than relying on excessive embellishments, Rotimi let the outfit’s quality speak for itself.

Eniola Badmus

Eniola Badmus once again demonstrated why she remains one of the most talked-about personalities at major cultural events.

The actress-turned-politician embraced the spirit of Ojude Oba in a striking ensemble that celebrated Yoruba fashion at its finest. She wore a styled premium navy blue aso-oke outfit custom-designed by the fashion brand Lolars Finesse.

Badmus paired the dress with a traditional crown, custom royal beads, and a matching hand fan. Beyond her static fashion photos, Badmus shared a cinematic, widely circulated video shoot in which she rode a beautifully decorated horse.

Samuel Banks

Content creator Samuel Banks brought youthful energy and a fresh perspective to traditional fashion appearances in support of the Moyegeso family lineage.

Known for his stylish approach to dressing, he stepped out in a well-tailored outfit that fused classic Yoruba aesthetics with a modern touch. The influencer arrived on horseback, embracing the festival’s celebrated equestrian tradition.

Samuel wore a custom-tailored Aṣọ-Òkè Agbada by O.J. Clothing, featuring clean, elegant lines and a matching traditional Fìlà cap. He completed the look with signature luxury designer sunglasses from his own eyewear collection.

His appearance resonated particularly with younger festival-goers, showing that cultural fashion can evolve while remaining true to its roots.

Farooq Oreagba

Few personalities have become as closely associated with Ojude Oba in recent years as Farooq Oreagba.

The businessman and cultural icon once again delivered one of the festival’s most talked-about looks. Known for his fearless approach to fashion, he embraced bold colours, luxurious fabrics, and statement accessories that reflected confidence and prestige.

For the family parade and family avenue processions at the event, Farooq Oreagba wore the official uniform attire chosen by his Eleshi Oreagba wearing a white agabada also of green and yellow stripes

Beyond the outfit itself, it was his unmistakable charisma and commanding presence that elevated the entire appearance with cheers from the crowd.

Farooq once again proved that style is as much about attitude as it is about clothing.

Jide Awobona

Actor Jide Awobona brought quiet sophistication to the festivities with a look deeply rooted in Yoruba tradition.

His outfit highlighted the beauty of indigenous fashion through tailoring, refined details, and a yellow-wine colour shade and a hand fan that complemented his calm and confident demeanour.

Akin Faminu

Fashion influencer and medical doctor Akin Faminu arrived at Ojude Oba 2026 looking like royalty.

He wore a richly embroidered agbada featuring deep wine, navy, black, and gold tones, accented with bold striped details that added texture and movement. Draped over the outfit was a dramatic black cape lined with vibrant fuchsia, bringing an extra layer of sophistication to the ensemble.

The accessories completed the look perfectly. Coral beads, layered necklaces, statement rings, dark sunglasses, and a sculpted fila adorned with feather detailing reinforced the regal aesthetic.

He also carried a staff and a horsetail irukere, symbols of prestige and honour in Yoruba culture, which tied the entire appearance together.

What made the outfit particularly striking was its balance between heritage and modern luxury. It felt stylish and contemporary while remaining firmly rooted in Yoruba identity.

Beauty Goddess

Beauty entrepreneur and social media personality Beauty Goddess ensured she was among the most photographed attendees at the festival.

She embraced the richness of Yoruba fashion in a beautifully crafted ensemble featuring luxurious fabrics, intricate detailing, and carefully selected accessories that elevated the overall look.

Her confidence added another dimension to the outfit. Every appearance, whether in photographs or videos, reflected a woman comfortable in her style and proud of her cultural heritage.

The result was a look that felt elegant, modern, and perfectly suited to one of Nigeria’s biggest cultural celebrations.

BBNaija’s Kaybobo

Reality TV star Kayode ‘Kaybobo’ Oladele arrived at Ojude Oba with a fashion statement inspired by royalty and nature that reflected his active celebrity personality.

The former BBN housemate’s outfit combined traditional elements with contemporary style.

He revealed his outfit was entirely inspired by Kingship and the Peacock (“Okin”, the king of birds in Yoruba culture). It included blues, greens, and patterns that perfectly captured the regal essence of the majestic bird.

Matching the absolute high-steeze energy of the event, Kaybobo also turned up riding a horse. What stood out most was the confidence with which he carried the ensemble.

At Ojude Oba 2026, celebrities showed that great style is not just about what you wear but how you wear it.
