A number of artists and musical acts have reportedly pulled out of Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 concert.

Even though several artists were slated to perform at the Great American State Fair — a 16-day event organized in connection with President Donald Trump’s Freedom 250 initiative — things ain’t going according to plan.

Reports suggest that a handful of artists have walked away from being involved in the event.

The news has created quite the stir on social media. When 24-year-old liberal political commentator Harry Sisson took a dig at the Trump administration after sharing the information on X, several MAGA supporters refused to consider it an embarrassing moment for the government.

Which Musical Acts Have Already Pulled out of the Freedom 250 Event?

Reports indicate that several renowned artists who were previously booked for the event have withdrawn from performing at the upcoming Great American State Fair.

Many of them have reportedly raised concerns over the event’s political ties, despite the fair being held in celebration of the nation’s freedom.

Scheduled from June 25 through July 10 on the National Mall in Washington, D.C., the Great American State Fair is being organized as part of celebrations for the United States’ semiquincentennial.

According to organizers, it aims to become “the biggest, boldest state fair in the country.”

However, while C+C Music Factory, Vanilla Ice and Flo Rida are expected to perform, other artists have announced they would no longer participate.

Martina McBride, Young MC, The Commodores, Bret Michaels and Morris Day and The Time have walked away after learning about the event’s links to Trump.

Initially scheduled to perform on June 26, Young MC wrote on Facebook, “I have informed my agents that I will not be performing at the Freedom 250 event. The artists were never told about any political involvement with the event.”

He added, “Despite the claims by the organizers that the event is non-partisan, Spin magazine describes it as ‘Trump-backed.'”

The rapper concluded, “I hope to perform in D.C. in the near future at an event that is not so politically charged.”

Further, C+C Music Factory frontman Freedom Williams said in an Instagram video, “[My agent] didn’t mention Trump… I’m getting all these texts, ‘We’re going to cancel C+C Music Factory. This is going to be a terrible show.’”

Williams added, “So, I told my agent, ‘Yeah, no, I ain’t good to do that. I don’t [support] Trump.”

Similarly, Morris Day and The Time also withdrew their participation from the fair by stating in a Facebook post, “Contrary to rumor, Morris Day [and] The Time will not be performing at the ‘Great American State Fair.’”

The funk rock group was scheduled to perform on June 27.

In addition, the touring lineup representing R&B group Milli Vanilli, including singer Jodie Rocco, also bowed out of the upcoming concert, telling The Associated Press, “My sister and I were shocked to see our name, ‘Milli Vanilli,’ as one of the performers.”

‘I Seriously Doubt They Were Invited’

Netizens react to Harry Sisson’s post.

Announcing the artist pull outs, Sisson wrote in his X post, “Trump has been utterly humiliated as now 4 performers have dropped out of his America 250 concert.”

In response, MAGA supporters backed Trump, with one writing, “Oh c’mon little Harry. They’ve all either got 1 foot in the grave, or as you are in Trump‘s world, they’re irrelevant ‘performers.’ I seriously doubt they were invited. Try as you may, nothing you say or do will ever take Trump down!”

Another user stated, “There are plenty that will perform. The humiliation is on the ones that backed out (if this is even true).”

An individual commented, “4 bands/performers no one on planet earth gives two sh*ts about or will ever remember won’t sing for Donald Trump!! I don’t know how he will ever recover from this!”

One person noted, “Never heard of any of these performers. I think Trump is fine.”

“Good cuts. I only recognize 2 of the performers. I didn’t know Milli was still alive. Please find something important to discuss,” added another.

Mocking the artists who backed out, one user stated, “Those guys are doing shows at nursing homes and assisted living facilities. Americas 250th Trump Celebration is way out of their league.”
