Tina Fey celebrated her wedding anniversary in an iconic way.
The Four Seasons actress shouted out her husband, Jeff Richmond, ahead of their 25th wedding anniversary with her signature wit. Host Jimmy Fallon mentioned the relationship milestone on his eponymous talk show on Monday, to which Fey quipped, “So you all were wrong. Everybody said we weren’t gonna make it.”
The 30 Rock alum also revealed how she and Richmond marked 25 years of marriage. While they were in Los Angeles for the season 2 premiere of Four Seasons, they extended their trip for a “quiet” weekend, adding that they “did nothing” and “sat by the pool.”

Fey mentioned that their quiet weekend included a child-free trip to the mall. “At one point, we said, ‘Do you want to walk around a mall?’ and I was like, ‘Yes,’” she said. “Walk around a mall with no kids, not go into Hollister, just do what you want.”
“I was like, ‘You want to look at these wide shoes in Allen Edmonds for an hour? Do it. Do it.’ This is love,” she added, concluding, “It was awesome.”
Fey and Richmond met while they were both working at the improv theater Second City in Chicago in the 1990s. They dated for seven years before they wed in 2001 in a Greek Orthodox ceremony. The couple then moved to New York to further pursue their respective careers in entertainment.
Richmond is a composer and producer. He and Fey collaborated on 30 Rock, Mean Girls (the 2024 musical adaptation), Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt, and Baby Mama. The couple shares daughters Alice and Penelope.

Richmond told New Yorker in 2003 about his first impression of Fey. “I don’t want to say she was funny ‘for a woman,’ but there were so many talented men there at the time, and then suddenly there was Tina, who was so funny — and she was at home with all those boys on the stage.”
Fey, meanwhile, told Women’s Health in 2007 about their courting, noting that he is nine years her senior. “There was no game playing or ‘I’ll call you tomorrow.’ It was a very easy, respectful relationship from the beginning, and it very quickly and easily became quite solid.”
