THE·TEAM and Nordoff and Robbins have revealed a new location for the 2026 edition of Music Mudder, the toughest, muddiest fundraising challenge on the music industry calendar.

Taking place at Nuclear Races in Kelvedon Hatch, Brentwood on Friday 11 September, this year’s Music Mudder will see teams from across the music industry take on a whole new range of mud-filled obstacles, all to raise funds for Nordoff and Robbins’ vital music therapy services.

Entry costs £1,000 per team of 10, while smaller teams can enter for £100 per person. Teams can register at music-mudder.com and there is a minimum fundraising target of £500 per team.

Food, drink, entertainment, parking and showers will be available on site, included in the entry fee. Coaches will run from and to Shenfield station throughout the day and there will be a prize draw with a variety of unique items and experiences up for grabs.

The 2025 edition of Music Mudder raised over £72,000 for Nordoff and Robbins, with more than 430 music industry peers taking on the challenge.

James Hughes, competing on Team GRF, completed the 7km course in the fastest individual time of 1 hour, 2 minutes and 46 seconds. Team Atlantic took the top spot as the fastest overall team for a second year running, with an average time of 1 hour 9 minutes and 40 seconds. Cuffe & Taylor won the top prize for team fundraising, with over £11,000 raised including Gift Aid.

Sandy Trappitt, Director of Fundraising, Nordoff and Robbins, said: “We’re so pleased to be partnering with THE·TEAM to bring Music Mudder back for 2026. It’s a great way for Nordoff and Robbins to engage the next generation of music industry leaders with our mission, while raising much needed funds for our life-changing music therapy services, training and research. We can’t wait to see what the new course brings and most importantly, how muddy everyone is going to get.”

Lucy Putman, Agent, THE·TEAM, said: “Since 2019, Music Mudder has raised over £300,000 for Nordoff and Robbins, something we’re immensely proud of. After four years at the same location, we thought it was time for a change. The Nuclear Races course will challenge those who take on Music Mudder every year with new obstacles, giving newcomers a chance to take on the seasoned pros. See you in the mud in September!”

Music therapy provided by Nordoff and Robbins supports people to communicate, express themselves and connect through music. It is used with individuals across a wide range of circumstances, from those facing emotional or social challenges, to people living with dementia, autism, learning differences, brain injuries, life‑limiting illnesses, grief or trauma.

In 2025, Nordoff and Robbins supported 15,500 people through 48,000 music therapy sessions, partnering with over 300 organisations including schools, hospitals and care homes nationwide.
